当院では9月は41件発熱外来の受診があり、このうち11件でCOVID19(以下コロナ)陽性、5件でインフルエンザ陽性でした。発熱外来を受診された方の4割がコロナまたはインフルエンザに罹患されていました。10月は11日までに14件の発熱外来の受診があり、2件でコロナ陽性、3件でインフルエンザ陽性となっています。当院ではコロナはPCRで、インフルエンザは抗原検査で検査をしています。

なお京都市の定点観測ではコロナの発生件数は9月第3週にピークとなり、現在はその時より半減しています

コロナ患者さんと接触があったから絶対にコロナだと思ったのに、コロナPCRは陰性で意外にもインフルエンザが陽性だったという方もおられます。現在コロナ・インフルエンザともに流行しており、発熱症状があって検査を受けられる際には同時に二つの検査を受けて頂くことをお勧めしています。

10月1日からコロナ治療薬の全額補助が打ち切りとなりましたが、一定額の補助は継続となっており患者さんの自己負担額の上限は１割負担の方で3000円、2割負担の方で6000円、3割負担の方で9000円となっています。コロナ治療薬は外来で処方できる内服薬が3種類ありますが、重症化因子の有無・併用薬の有無・妊娠されているかなどの背景で処方内容が変わります。薬価はラゲブリオで94310円、パキロビットで99025円、ゾコーバで51852円とどの薬も非常に高額です。ですので、自己負担額の上限以上を補助してもらえる現状はとても有り難いですね。

In our clinic, there were 41 visits to the fever outpatient in September, of with 11 were positive for COVID-19, and 5 were positive for influenza. This means that 40% of the individuals who visited the fever outpatient department had either COVID-19 of influenza. As of October 11^th, there have been 14 visits to the fever outpatient in October, with 2 cases testing positive for COVID-19 and 3 cases testing positive for influenza. We conduct PCR testing for COVID-19 and antigen testing for influenza in our clinic.

It is worth noting that in the city of Kyoto, the number of COVID-19 cases peaked in the third week of September and has since decreased by half compared to that time. On the other hand, influenza cases are on the rise.

Some individual who had a close contact with COVID-19 patient was surprised to find that his COVID-19 PCR test was negative but the influenza test was positive. Currently, both COVID-19 and influenza are prevailing, so we recommend getting both tests simultaneously when you have fever symptoms and seek testing.

COVID-19 treatment drugs were fully subsidized by public funds until September, but from October 1^st, a specific amount of copayment is required. The copayment amounts are as follows: individuals with a 10% copayment obligation will pay 3,000yen, those with a 20% copayment obligation will pay 6,000 yen, and those with 30% copayment obligation will pay 9,000yen. While 9000yen maybe quite high for individuals with a 30% payment obligation, it’s important to note thath COVID-19 treatment drugs have a regular price ranging from 50,000 to 100,000 yen, so even with this copayment, it remains a highly appreciating situation.
